Onam is more than a festival. It is a celebration of Kerala's heritage, togetherness and the hope for a world where everyone has a place at the table 🌴☀️🐘

Rooted in the legend of King Mahabali (Maveli), Onam remembers a golden age of prosperity, equality, peace and honesty. It is said that Maveli returns to Kerala each year during Onam to see his people living happily and together 👑

Across Kerala, this spirit comes alive in the colours of the Athapookkalam, the warmth of the Onam Sadhya, the energy of Vallam Kali, and the many traditional celebrations that bring communities together 🪷

As we celebrate this Onam, may we carry forward that same spirit of harmony and compassion, not only among ourselves, but towards the elephants and all the living beings that share this land with us.

Wishing everyone a joyful, peaceful and meaningful Onam 💛
